Estuary Press Features the Work of Nina Serrano, Harvey Richards, and Paul Richards

Her romance historical novel, written at age 82, Nicaragua Way, is available through Estuary Press. Her poetry is available in her trilogy Heart Suite which presents poems written from 1969 to 2012.  The first volume of Heart Suite is Heart Songs published in 1980 by Pocho-Che and reissued in 2011 by Estuary Press as an ebook.  The next  volumes, Heart’s Journey, Selected Poems, 1980-1999 and Heart Strong, Selected Poems 2000-2012 are available in paperback and ebook formats.

Estuary Press was founded in 1986 by Paul Richards to distribute the photos and documentary films of his father, Harvey Richards. During the 25 years of its existence, Estuary Press has published Paul’s book Critical Focus, the Black and White Photographs of Harvey Wilson Richards (1986) and has licensed the use of Harvey’s photography in over 60 films.  The web site offers Harvey Richards’ photo image galleries containing over 1000 historic photos of the 1960s and 70’s.  All 22 documentary films made by Harvey Richards are available on the web site as DVDs.

About Nina Serrano: Nina is a well-known, international prize-winning inspirational author and poet. With a focus on Latino history and culture, she is also a playwright, filmmaker, KPFA talk show host, a former Alameda County Arts Commissioner, and a co-founder of the San Francisco Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts. Oakland Magazine’s “best local poet” in 2010, she is a former director of the San Francisco Poetry in the Schools program and the Bay Area’s Storytellers in the Schools program. A Latina activist for social justice, women’s rights, and the arts, Nina Serrano at 82 remains vitally engaged in inspiring change and exploring her abundant creativity.
